We understand that you may need to carry electronic devices. As per the Governors regulations at HCHS we will be collecting phones upon entry.
During School Hours: If any electronic devices are seen or heard during any instructional time during school hours, they will be confiscated. This includes any unauthorized use of phones, media players, tablets, etc.
Device Retrieval: If your device is confiscated, it will be held by school leadership until a parent or guardian comes to collect it in person.
Please remember that if your parents or guardian needs to reach you during the school day, they can always contact HCHS Advisor to pass along important information. In case of an emergency parents or guardians can contact the main office.
Storage of Devices: HCHS staff will be responsible for the storage, security, and care of student’s personal electronic devices while on school property. HCHS is not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged electronic devices that were not
collected by HCHS upon entry.

All school equipment is for school purposes only and not for personal use. School technology policy and procedures promote the responsibility and proper use of all technology equipment and computer labs. Haven Charter HS has, with minor modifications, adopted the Acceptable Internet Use Policy of the New York City Department of Education.
