We are committed to ensuring a smooth and supportive start and end to each school day. Please review the details below to help your student arrive prepared and on time. Consistent, on-time attendance is essential to student success at Haven.
Morning Arrival
Students may enter the building beginning at 8:00 AM through the Williamsbridge Road
entrance. Our staff will be present each morning to warmly welcome students as they arrive.
Breakfast
Breakfast is available until 8:30 AM. Students who plan to eat breakfast should arrive by 8:00–8:15 AM to allow enough time to enjoy their meal before the start of the school day.
Start of School Day
Classes begin promptly at 8:30 AM. Students arriving at or after 8:30 AM are considered late.
Late Arrival
Students who arrive late must enter through the designated late arrival entrance and sign in before proceeding to class.
After-School Programming
After-school programming is available to provide students with additional enrichment and
support opportunities.
The building will be open to students by 8:00 a.m. Classes will start at 8:45 a.m and end at 3:00. Afterschool programming will be available.

Haven Charter will grow to a full capacity of 400 students over a period of 4 years starting with a 9th grade class of 100 students in August 2025, and adding a grade of 100 students each year.
Yes students will be expected to where uniforms which include t-shirts, polos, and scrubs.
Yes, we will offer a co teaching model with two teachers in the classroom, as well as mandated in-person support services for students with IEPs, including speech language therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, hearing support services, and counseling.
Yes, our MLL students will receive support through integrated ENL instruction in core classrooms.
Yes, we will offer a full college-preparatory curriculum that includes academic coursework in mathematics (4 years), English (4 years), lab science (4 years), social studies (4 years), and foreign language (3-4 years). We will offer AP courses in English, Mathematics ,Science and History, as well as opportunities to earn college credits.
Yes, we are committed to preparing students for both college and career by blending academic and technical instruction with real-world experience and credentialing. By the end of their senior year, many HCHS students will achieve industry-recognized certifications. These credentials are a testament to their readiness to perform at a professional level in their chosen fields. and signal to employers that HCHS graduates have both the knowledge and the skills required to succeed.
